What is so magical about a small strip of land in the Middle East? What is it that has drawn people there for centuries? Israel is valued by the world's three major religions: Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. The Holy Land is said to be the size of a county and have the problems of a continent. Where did it all begin? How can one encapsulate the history of this amazing country? After all, it is the place where God rescued a ruined world. The land God promised is the place of blessing, inheritance, and glory. When you enter the Land, you can tangibly feel the Spirit of God. There is absolutely no place like it in all the world. To visit the areas where our forefathers - Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob - lived is a wondrous feeling. To gaze upon the same mountains and rivers that King Solomon, Queen Esther, and the apostle Paul did is humbling. To walk the roads where Jesus our Savior lived, died, and was resurrected is indescribable. So, I encourage you to go and visit and walk where Jesus walked, to experience the unique magic of this extraordinary land, and to open your heart to the profound beauty and significance of Israel.
