One of my tips for easy entertaining is early preparation. I love working from a list! It helps so much to organize my thoughts and ideas. I usually have everything set up the night before the event. All decorating is finished, and the tables are set. I also have all my serving dishes placed, with a note on each one that shows what will be served out of them. It really helps!
I’ve heard it said, “hospitality isn’t about your house, it’s about your heart.” That’s so true! In the Bible, 1 Peter 4:8-9 says, “Above all, love one another deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling.” I find this interesting, that Peter encourages us to love each other and offer hospitality at the same time.
Opening your home is opening your heart to others. Offer a place where people can spend time together. Share your home, your heart and your love!
